It all started in 2008 when Lisa, the owner of ellembee gift, was laid off from her job as a bedding designer in Southern California.  After loosing her job, Lisa packed up and headed to her hometown of Detroit to start building her empire.  Who knew that losing her job would be the best thing to ever happen!
